Community Health Insurance Case Study Choon Seong Health Insurance Program

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this Survey is to provide basic data on the further expanding program for Community Health insurance plan.
This study was Carried out from the operation of the choon sung Community health Insurance plan for the last two years from 1977 to 1978.
The results of the study are as follows.
1. 7.24 percent of the total inhabitants were enrolled in the health insurance plan, choon Sung County is 21.9 percent and choon cheon city is 0.7 percent.
2. 67 percent of the total premium of Community health. Insurance were collected for the last two years. Premium Collecting rate of Choon Cheon City is 91 percent and Choon Sung country is 65 percent.
3. 55 percent of the total receipts is the premium income and the assistance of the national budget is 25.2 percent. The assistant of local government is 14.8 percent and the others are 4.14 percent. 56.5 percent of the total expenditure is expenses of Community health Insurance and operating expenditure is 30.9 percent and the others are 12.6 percent.
4. Digestive disease holds the first rank in the total of patients and that disease occupied 27.4 percent
in 1978 and 26. 8 percent in. 1977. The disease of the next is that of the respiratory organ_, The year
1978 is 24. 2 percent the 1977 21. 14 percent.- The average days of the inpatient Staying in the referential
hospital are about 8.2 days. The average days of the treated outpatients are about 2.4 days.
5. Average health Insurance plan expenditure (65% of the total cost) of per inpatient case is 34,315. And average health insurance plan expenditure (555´/a of the total cost) of per outpatient case is 1, 076.
